Am I supposed to be a-scared now? ::giggle::
Just in:

taliesin23 sent you a message on LiveJournal: Dynion Mwyn.
The message was:
You will find this entry about HOME CIRCLE at
http://www.dynionmwyn.net/plagerize.html It will remain there until you
correct the entry you have for Dynion Mwyn:

There have been ugly rumors for years about Zanetta Wilson and others of
Home Circle (a Wiccan Church in Knoxville Tennessee) Their web site
carries slander and defamatory material making untrue statements about
Dynion Mwyn. We have no idea who these people are but suspect they are
minions of Betsy Ashby and/or Fari Gold who have been trying their best
(which is not much) to slander and destroy us. Go below to read about
Betsy who we suspect of being a sociopath/psychopath. An entry we have
found about Home Circle and Zanetta Wilson/Sana Karine involves
Dominant/submissive sexual sexual behavior and Marquis DeSade
Sadomasochism. Not exactly a family friendly group. Our suggestion is to
keep all young people under 21 away from this group. If they will lie
about one thing they will lie about another. So we cannot recommend Sana
Karine/Zanetta Wilson or Home Circle to any prospective pagan for training
or advice.
In Light and Love,
Gwen Boudicca, Elder and Web Mistress of Dynion Mwyn

Am I supposed to be afeared that someone might think I'm kinky or something? Jeash. I think the only person who knows me that *doesn't* know I'm kinked is both socially clueless and can't operate Google.

I have half a mind to respond, letting them know that they left out most of the really interesting kinks and all my slash connections. And maybe offering them a discount on some nice FemDom files.

Never mind the fact that in the places where you mention children and teens on your site, it's either "welcome to attend with their parents, but parents should know that we sometimes digress into topics that you may not want to discuss with your teens yet" or "there's stuff that we do that is not appropriate for teens, and here's why, and here's what to do while you're waiting."

It's not like you advertise as specifically "Hey, bring the family."

Yeah, I laughed at that bit. We don't deal with folks under 21 except at LCat (like there's going to be public flogging at Borders... well, considering some authors it's worth a few thoughts... but I doubt we could get the right permits...) and occasionally at "open" workshops- with their parents. Well, and our 'baby', of course, who's 16. But even he doesn't come to non-public events!

About par for the folks I've run into from that bunch. They've officially been around since the 70s. And they don't want to be edumacated. They've got all the wisdom. They'll tell you so.

OMG! You've been trolled by Bill Wheeler! Probably "Gwen" is one of his sockpuppets; the misspelling of Feri is one of his little quirks. He hates Feri Gold because they called him out for stealing Feri material and putting it up on his website, and he has been on a vendetta against Betsy Ashby for decades now, and seems to think that misspelling people's names gives him an out for slander.

That whole "I don't know WHO they are, but this is what I HEARD" maneuver is absolutely his typical MO. He sent an e-mail to the Border Pagans list insinuating that I'd been arrested for child endangerment. He didn't seem to realize that while HE'D never met me, the people on the list HAD.

As you already know, the "family friendly" stance is bullshit.

Yeah. We've had a few run-ins before, but this is the first time I've rated being put on their public "enemies" list.

And thanks for the update on Tony. I'll let the webminions know and it should be corrected with the next update. (Which may be a month or so - the webminions are evaluating going to a CMS system and figuring out the logistics of the switch.)

"the first time I've rated being put on their public "enemies" list. "

A badge of honor, I do believe.

I looked at your tradition listings. Actually Tony's Pictish-Elven line is Feri, per a statement from him to the other Feri initiates. He gives people Feri initiations, and he participates in Feri Tradition stuff. Francesca doesn't do either, so her trad is really an offshoot distinct from Feri.

Tony can be a little weird and cagey, and may have given different answers in the past, but my information is current.

I clicked the link. I'm supposed to take anything seriously by people who have that bad a website and can't spell a large pagan tradition correctly?

Um. No.

Let alone spell 'plagiarize' correctly, and the original of that page was supposedly written by their 'solicitor' - who, if such had actually existed, would likely have spelled it 'plagiarise' ... not to mention that the original version of the page also included source code from a group in Canada in the header.

And can anyone really take seriously a website whose font-declaration includes the much-maligned Comic Sans MS?

Pretty much anything that those people turn out makes my brain hurt.

This "Gwen Boudicca" person posts on an all-to-regular basis to a local list here in Atlanta. Those posts make my brain hurt, too.

Fret not, as those of us who know you love you, and we think Bill Wheeler and his bunch are a gang of idiots.

Send 'em a letter denouncing them for slander; insist that you do not practice Marquis DeSade Sadomasochism. You are perfectly capable of developing your own sadomasochism without the help of some dead rich white guy.

Our suggestion is to keep all young people under 21 away from this group.

"Parents of 18-21 year olds who are interested in this group should fill their kids' heads with fabrications about the vile practices of the group in order to dissuade them even though they're not legally under their parents' control anymore. We suggest telling them that the group practices Rainbow Brite Wicca and uses My Little Pony as a power animal, because obviously, telling 19-year-olds that a group is involved with BDSM practices is not likely to keep them from being interested."

It occurs to me, too that a lot of this posturing on Bill's part is an attempt to convince SOMEONE of his/his group's importance. (I lean toward thinking the person he most wants to convince is himself, but then, 'tis well known that I am both a cynic and a misanthrope.) After all, random strangers most people have never heard of would not be trying to slander and destroy some wierd pagan cult if said cult were not important. Nobody wastes such efforts on a bunch of irrelevant nonentities.

Oh. Wait...
